Bio:
How long have you been at UCSB?
At first I was at UCSB for 2 1/2 years then I went to UCI for 1 1/2 years. Then I came back to UCSB and have been back ever since for a total of 7 years service between UCSB and UCI.
Why are you in GMC or how did you get involved with the committee?
I first became involved in GMC as a mentee and then more recently as a mentor. I has such a positive experience in both roles that I wanted to contribute to GMC and make sure that it is available for years to come so all staff members can ultimately benefit from it.
What are some of your goals and aspirations?
I aspire to become a better leader and to meaningfully contribute to UCSB. UCSB means a lot to me and my love having a career here. I just want to be a part of making it a great place to work.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy crafts, reading, writing poetry, cooking, and spending time with my family. I also have taken up gardening since I started renting a place that has the space for it.
Something about you that not many people know about?
I have 3 much younger siblings and often am confused for being their mother. They usually correct them though.
What would you say is your spirit animal and why?
Probably a dog. I like to think I am friendly, happy, maybe a little needy lol. Fan of food and people. Specifically, I'd probably be a Corgi because they're short and waddle a little bit because of the short legs (like me).
