Bio

How long have you been at UCSB?
I have been on campus for 14 years, all in the Office of Governmental Relations.

Why are you in GMC or how did you get involved with the committee?
As a long-time staff member on campus, it became increasingly important for me to champion staff rights and priorities. Staff is the heart of university operations, supporting students, faculty, and other staff, and I always want to be part of making our working lives more positive and healthy.

What are some of your goals and aspirations?
I would like to see a better work-life balance as a central part of the campus culture, with buy-in from the top down. Personally, I would like to continue to grow my professional skill set and find ways to be an active part of the campus community.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love books, TV, hiking, travel, and learning new hobbies.

What is something about you that not many people know about?
I have completed two half-marathons!

What would you say is your spirit animal and why?
I think my spirit animal might be an otter, because I am small, energetic, bright, a problem-solver, and I could eat sushi and fish every day.
